The kala travel series has become well known for its larger than expected projection, vibrant tone, and hip aesthetic.  Originally marketed as a "travel size" ukulele, the SSTU-C concert has caught on in a serious way and become a much loved series with appeal across the board. 

The solid spruce top yields a very vibrant and punchy tone that could easily give a standard tenor uke a run for its money as far as projection.  The mahogany back has an arched contour to it allowing for a lighter build that still retains the necessary stability and strength. 

The mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, closed gear tuners, Aquila strings, and synthetic bone nut/saddle make this a great choice for anyone searching for a different and cool mid-level instrument.  This concert ukulele comes with a form fitting padded gigbag.

*The thinner body makes this a very comfortable instrument to play standing up because it cradles naturally into your arm and is very ergonomic and easy to hold in this position. 

SETUP:  This ukulele ships fully set up and adjusted, and will be ready to go out of the box.  Our set-up includes nut and bridge saddle adjustment, string  action adjustment,   fret polishing and leveling (as needed), and overall evaluation of the instrument for any flaws in manufacturing or craftsmanship.
